Cheese & Cider Fun Afternoon

Last Friday (August 22nd), the Club hosted a Fun Afternoon on the Green, being organised by our Competition Secretary, Ray Kelly. On a sunny aftternoon, the event was well supported by members, and they were set a series of unconventional bowling challenges arranged by Dave & Mary Sutton. Great fun was had by all in trying to rise to these. Congratulations to the winner Jan Cruwys and runner up, Jenny Vincent.

Prior to the event, members were invited to come along in fancy dress if they so wished and as the accompanying photographs show a number obliged, with a Monk, a Convict, Builder Bob and a Sleepwalker in pyjamas among those who entered into the spirit. Following the frivolities on the Green, everyone present enjoyed a good spread of refreshments arranged and catered for by President Ann Kelly. All those members involved in the arrangements were profusely thanked for the work they had put in to make this such an enjoyable event.
