2025 Fun Afternoon

On Friday, August 22nd), the Club hosted a Cider & Cheese Fun Afternoon, being organised by our Competition Secretary, Ray Kelly. With it being a warm sunny day sunny, the event was well supported by members. Participants were set a series of unconventional bowling challenges arranged by longstanding members, Dave & Mary Sutton. Great fun was had by all in trying to rise to these. Congratulations to the winner Jan Cruwys and runner up, Jenny Vincent.

Prior to the event, members were invited to come along in fancy dress if they so wished and as the accompanying photographs show a number obliged, with a Monk, a Convict, Builder Bob and a Sleepwalker in pyjamas among those who entered into the spirit of the occasion. Following the frivolities on the Green, everyone present enjoyed a good spread of refreshments arranged and catered for by President Ann Kelly. All those members involved in the arrangements were profusely thanked for the work they had put in to make this such an enjoyable event.
